How To Fix A Sticky Door Lock:
How To Fix A Sticky Door Lock
Welcome to today’s guide on fixing a sticking door lock. A sticky door lock can be a frustrating problem, but with the right tools and techniques, you can get it working smoothly again in no time.
Choosing the Right Lubricant
When it comes to lubricating a lock, you have a variety of options. One popular choice I often recommend is Triflow. I’ve always liked this one because it’s silicone-based, providing an excellent solution for most sticky locks.
Many people opt for WD-40 as their go-to product. While WD-40 is a penetrating oil, it’s not a lock lubricant. If your lock is jammed, WD-40 can be a good starting point because it helps to unstick the mechanism. However, remember it doesn’t lubricate the lock since it’s not designed for that.
