I was called to Vancouver International to open a locked plane. The pilot had lost the keys to door and compartments. (He didn’t need a key to start the plane lol).
Interesting job, the locks were a little difficult to pick. The planes have wafer locks but with all the flush handles it was a little hard to turn to open the doors and compartments.
The pilot didn’t have time to for me to make keys. He was on his way to Northern British Columbia from Texas and had stopped for the night at Vancouver International Airport. (very nice Hotel “MillionAir”).
I had to relock the luggage compartments for safety after he removed his equipment and stored in the main fuselage.
Note: How did I know he was allowed to open the airplane, 4 security guards and 2 police where standing by plus notice my security tag on my jacket.
If I get to make keys to the plane I will update with pictures and keyway.
