Terry Whin-Yates states “in most that 80 percent of Electronic Safe malfunctions are battery related.” Electronic Sentry Safes are battery operated and in most cases simply replacing the batteries and then re-entering the electronic safe combination the safe will open. However, if a red warning or error message is displayed the safe has malfunctioned.

Sometimes it is as simple as replacing the Sentry Safe batteries with fresh fully charged new batteries and the safe will open. Also, only use Alkaline batteries (watch video for further information).
