At first, I thought the building’s security guard was sneaking up for a surprise inspection. But as I swivelled my head, I realized it wasn’t a person at all—it was a shadow…of the Dark Knight himself!

There on the stark gray cinder block was a silhouette unmistakably shaped like Batman. Pointy ears, cape billowing, fist raised in righteous determination. My first thought: Great—this building’s lock system is so secure even Batman wants in.

Naturally, I had to capture this moment. I fumbled for my phone, hit record, and whispered dramatically, “Holy master key, Batman!” Meanwhile, I could almost hear Gotham’s theme music swelling in the background.

As I chuckled and posted the video—captioned, “When you’re rekeying locks and the Bat-Signal comes calling”—I couldn’t help but think: in the locksmith world, you never know when you’ll run into a superhero. At least this one didn’t try to punch through the door; instead, it inspired my next glance to be extra careful around that ficus.
