Travel Trailer Locksmith
Travel trailer locks are designed to secure the doors and compartments of your travel trailer, thus ensuring the safety of your belongings and providing peace of mind. Additionally, there are several types of locks commonly used for travel trailers as follows:
- Deadbolt lock: This type of lock is commonly found on the main entrance door of a travel trailer. Furthermore, it provides a high level of security by extending a solid metal bolt into the door frame when locked.
- Keyed entry lock: Keyed entry locks are similar to deadbolt locks but may not have the same level of security. They use a key to lock and unlock the door and are typically found on both the main entrance door and other entry points of the trailer.
- Cam lock: Cam locks are often used on storage compartments and cabinets within the travel trailer. They then use a key to rotate a cam mechanism, securing the compartment or cabinet.
- Hitch lock: Hitch locks are specifically designed to secure the hitch of your travel trailer when it’s not attached to the towing vehicle. They then prevent unauthorized removal of the trailer by locking the hitch mechanism.
- Wheel lock: Wheel locks are used to immobilize the wheels of your travel trailer, making it difficult for someone to tow or move the trailer without proper authorization. They are then especially useful for added security when the trailer is parked and unattended.
