As a locksmith, there is nothing more frustrating than scrounging around at the bottom of a tool bag looking for that one specific change key while a customer watches. Organization isn’t just about looking professional; it’s about efficiency.

I’ve finally found the perfect solution for my safe work: the Veto Pro Pack SC-45. I actually have two of these now—one for my pick case and this one, which is my dedicated Safe Change Key Kit.

The Ultimate Organized Change Key Kit

The SC-45 is a compact, rugged pouch that keeps everything in one spot. It attaches to my main tool case full-time, but it’s small enough that I can just rip it off and put it in my pocket if I’m heading into a tight spot.

Except for my lubricants (which I keep in a separate bag depending on the safe type), this kit handles almost 100% of the mechanical dial safes I encounter.

What’s Inside the Kit?

This kit is designed specifically for three-wheel and four-wheel mechanical combination locks. Here is a breakdown of the tools that make this pack my go-to:

1. The “27-and-1” Key Deck (KIX KB-1)

This is the heart of the kit and my absolute go-to tool. It’s a key deck that holds the most common change keys in one flip-style tool. It covers:

Sargent & Greenleaf (S&G): Three-wheel and four-wheel locks.
La Gard: Three-wheel combination locks.
And more: This tool alone handles 99% of the standard commercial work I do.

2. Specialty & Vintage Change Keys
